The speciality of us druids are now the auras. Playing as cat is not really needed, because there are rogues a plenty to deal the damage. I say this now: they can, but is it needed? In a right balanced MC group, there are multiple warriors available, so even if one goes down, others can still come along and help. I can understand people want to say that druids can easily offtank etc. The damage output is great, the tanking abilities (yup, i see myself tanking myself) are great, the agro control is a little less, but still nothing bad at all. So in my opinion: druids are great as healers (+ buff + debuff) end game.įeral I've played for a while now and even tho I'm not level 60 yet, I want to say something about it.įeral druids are fantastic to solo. It makes our mana efficiency drop down like crazy! The problem I see while playing with a priest however, is that they immediatly pull a big heal, instead of looking if there are HoTs on the target instead. That is what those HoTs are about: Control over our mana and the health of our target. The best compliment I've ever had was by a guildie saying that he thought he was immortal, because his health never went <90%. We aren't as great with priest with their big heals, but we are insanely quick with our healings and are able to save people by being able to pull out a quick reg + rej. Healing over time is insane! It's why I love being a resto druid. Where we (resto)druids shine, are our HoTs. While in MC (I play in an alliance) I notice I'm respected as a healer and I am used as main healer more then often. As guild leader I like to stand back a bit, seeing the entire picture and shout around whenever needed. Yes, my 3rd, because I want to see how balance plays as well. Think thats the point.Ĭomment by ThottbotLovely to see people getting worked up about resto/balance/feral. Thats why one of the bonuses in SR is nice. Moonkin ( the aura you know ) + some healing will own. I just love the shape-shifting abilities, and i HATE feeling im wasting the meaning of being druid by purely healing others, though, when im going to MC soon that might be the main thing ill do. Faire fire the rogues, and theyll be raped up and down the nearest tree! Im not saying, that this is the most correct way of gaming, because it surely isnt. both warriors and rogues! entangle the warriors, game ovah. specced as secondary, and i must say it works pretty damn well vs. ) anyways, im still having some noob gear, but i just like the idea of having 5k defence as a spellcaster. ( hibernate and entangle is a damn good combination in a huntersituation. Now i am owning: warriors, rogues and mostly hunters. i spend my talent points the right places, imo, and so on. It was about the time when the new patch, 1.8, so i specced balance to see the moonkin form. I returned a couple of weeks ago, and found myself with an almost completely useless druid ( Im not gonna mention the specc :-) ). Leader of the Pack can help the warriors hold arrgo too, which is always handy.Ĭomment by ThottbotI have a druid myself, though i made him while i was a complete noob. And, for the record, my other guildie is feral spec, and when it comes to offtanking she works great, when you have that add running towards the caster group, a feral druid in that group can shift to bear & taunt him off them, quickly leading it back up to the tanks, letting it get taunted off them, then coming back to the caster group. I wear alot of +healing gear, which helps pick up for my not as great healing, but onw there isnt just ONE viable path for druids, and if you get a leader that knows how to utilize your moonkin form, it makes it that much better. Sure, theres times when I was I was still a resto druid, but I love to PVP, and healers get shafted in the honor system.so I go balance to maxamize my honor gain, and to help the locks/mages out with the mooki aura. I let the healadins & priests do thier thing, heal when the boss man asks me to, and dont have many problems with healing like when I was a resto, sure, it costs me more, I dont heal for as much, and I dont have innervate, but 90% of the time in MC/BWL, they have me running my moonkin form in a group full of locks/mages.he 3% added spell crit for those guys can help them take down some of the larger guys more quickly. I dont run them with my guild, but a guild we are on good terms with. Comment by ThottbotIm a balance druid, 31/10/10, and you would think that I wouldnt get MC/BWL invites.but I do.
